Cranes

The following questions help to understand the types of lifting systems available

  1. project 1
  2. Lifting height
  3. Working class (how many hours the crane will work in one working day).
  4. Working environment (temperature, humidity, elevation)
  5. How many axes of hook movement I need(e.g., up/down, left/right, and forward/back) one , two or three.
  6. If two axes how long runway? if three axes how long of runway and width?.

Below we provide some basic information about each type of crane, but the UMSCO sales team and engineers will be more than happy to assist you through the process of choosing the right lifting system.

  1. Monorail:

With a monorail system, the hoist and trolley run on a single stationary beam. Because of their inherent speed and efficiency, monorail systems are an effective method of moving and positioning loads to specific locations. provides two axis of hook motion (X and Y).

  2. Over Head crane:

A bridge crane runs on an elevated runway system along the length of a factory and provides three axis of hook motion (X, Y, and Z). Types of Bridge Cranes :Top Running Bridge Crane, Underhung Bridge Crane ,single girder and double girder.

  3. Jib cranes:

This type of crane consists of a pivoting head and boom assembly which carries a hoist and trolley unit. The pivoting head is supported either by a floor-mounted mast providing up to 360 degree.

  4. Gantry cranes:

Usually considered when there is a reason not to incorporate an overhead runway system. These are typically used for an outdoor application or below an existing overhead bridge crane system. Gantries can run on track, rail, or directly on the floor, depending on required usage, length of travel and load capacities.

Wireless Industrial Remote Control

Industrial radio control has much in common with radio control in which we are accustomed to in our daily life, such as garage door openers, remote controls to our TV sets or control of radio controlled toys. In principle they function in the same way. A radio transmitter sends out radio waves which correspond to a binary command for the button you press. A radio module in the receiver receives the radio wave and interprets it, which in turn performs a command, for example lowers a hook from an overhead crane, opens a gate or turns on a lamp. One of the challenges with radio is that an great number of radio waves travel through the air at the same time. so the digital codes in the radio wave, which the receiver is expecting. Should the radio wave be on the wrong frequency, or lack the binary code, the receiver will not perform any commands.

Exchange Heaters

A heat exchanger is a device used to transfer heat between a solid object and a fluid, or between two or more fluids. The fluids may be separated by a solid wall to prevent mixing or they may be in direct contact.

Main Types of Heat Exchangers

  1. Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger
  2. Plate Heat Exchanger
  3. Regenerative Heat Exchanger
  4. Adiabatic Wheel Heat Exchanger
